[section_title title=”Conclusion”]Conclusion

The Cooler Master V8 GTS has been put to the test and is still standing. Let’s have a recap to see how well it did.

Taking a look at performance first and the V8 GTS held it’s own and considering it is going up against the best of the best and holding it’s own is really all we can ask for. In terms of thermal performance it falls right in where it should for it’s price and size. There are quite a few really good air coolers in the £60-£70 range and at the end of the day the difference of a few degrees is really nothing to warrant concern for the most part. The acoustics were a bit higher than I would have liked to of seen in benchmarks but again, the difference of a few dBA is barely going to be noticeable to the human ear. Though it still would have been nice if it was a bit more quiet as you can definitely hear it take off when the CPU temperature starts to rise.

The design of the V8 GTS is where it really shines and it’s main selling point in my opinion. The unique car engine like design is quite pleasing. What is nice to see is that even on a cooler this size Cooler Master have managed to leave plenty of room (50mm) for RAM, this alone in itself is a major selling point. The inclusion of the 2 x fans and red LEDs also helps set the V8 GTS off and make it look that much more appealing.

In terms of price and as always, you get what you pay for. For just over £60 you are getting a cooler that will match the performance of those with similar prices. What you are also getting is a cooler with a unique look and very well thought out design. The inclusion of the 2 x fans go almost unnoticed and the red LEDS really help to set it off from the rest. Let us also not forget about the vapour chamber and the fact this beast is designed to somewhat resemble a car engine.

At the end of the day the Cooler Master V8 GTS offers on par performance with other coolers in its price range. The one thing that sets it apart is it’s uniquely amazing design. If you are looking for a cooler in this price range you will not be disappointed with the V8 GTS in terms of performance, features or overall design.

I would like to thank Cooler Master for sending the V8 GTS in for review and look forward to seeing more from them in the new future.
