Lets take a look at the software package that comes with the Neon.

software 1

Here is the home screen/system settings tab of the software. Before I talk about the features I’ve got to unapologetically say this is an ugly bit of software! Anyway, that’s not a deal breaker provided we have a reasonable amount of options. On this tab we have the ability to change DPI steps, five profiles and a box which tweaks windows settings like pointer speed.

The advanced settings tab lets us change the polling rate on the neon.

Finally we have the button settings screen which as you can see has a good amount of options to reprogram the buttons. It is worth noting the thumb buttons on each side are tied together, which could prove annoying if you press the offside ones by accident when playing.

So the software is a bit basic, and its not pretty but you’ve got most of what you need there. I would like to see some options to change lift of distance as well given that this is something that can be implemented on the Phillips sensors.

Lets have a chat about the performance of the mouse on the next page.
