In the past week we have been getting bombarded with rumors of Z97 motherboards, although alot of these rumors are just speculation there is one company big enough to come forward and tell the world what they have got and that company is ASUS, ASUS are set to announce their Z97 The Ultimate Force (TUF) series motherboards and Deluxe range motherboards.
Even though there is not much i can go on at this time, from first glance and abit of knowlage of upcoming hardware, my guess is the Z97 TUF and Deluxe range will be ready for Core “Haswell” refresh and “Devil’s Canyon” processors.
Z97 Deluxe range
The Z97 Deluxe range features a 16-phase CPU VRM. The LGA1150 socket is wired to four DDR3 DIMM slots, and three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots. Storage connectivity looks as if it include six SATA 6 Gb/s, one SATA-Express, one M.2, and maybe one or two eSATA. With the added 8-channel HD audio with ground-layer isolation, dual gigabit-Ethernet interfaces, WLAN, and a large number of USB 3.0 ports.
Z97 TUF Series
The Z97 TUF series motherboard, designed to look rugged and durable, will feature the highest-grade electrical components the industry has to offer, electro-static, electro-magnetic, and thermal protections. The Sabertooth Z97 will feature three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots, an 8-phase CPU VRM, thermal armor with a recirculating fan, and eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports. We will update you when more information becomes available.
