Fallout 4 Release Details Go Live and Expect Pre-Loading! 2

In less than 2 weeks, we will see the long awaited release of Fallout 4 hit the shelves here in the UK. With the game all ready to be shipped out to eagerly awaited retailers, Bethesda is now ready to talk about its preloading plans for PC and console.

Simply, Bethesda is joining the growing list of publishers to support preloading, meaning you will be able to download an encrypted version of Fallout 4 before its launch on the 10th of November. Once 12:01 AM hits on that date, the game files will unlock and you will be able to jump straight in. But, and I mean a large BUT, the exact date preloading starts has yet to be determined.

If you are to buy a physical copy of the game for PC, you won’t have all of the game files and the game will need to be activated on Steam. This prevents early access to the game thus being leaked before the official release. As far as file sizes go, Fallout 4 will sit between 28GB and 35GB depending on platform, so it won’t take up too much space.
