Conclusion

Brookhaven Experiment is one of the better looking VR games. Lots of new levels have been added and a progression system, but it’s an extended demo, with about as much staying power. After half an hour or so the gimmick of higher fidelity jump scares wears thin.

Levels are crying to be explored but you can’t move out of your starting position. The difficulty spikes seemingly at random, which wouldn’t be so bad if the sound design didn’t have issues with distances making the game harder. The most fun are when someone else plays the game instead of yourself. Watching someone jump and scream in a game is entertaining. But for that, you can grab a copy of the demo instead or wait for a sale.
