AUDIO AND GRAPHICS

The dystopian aesthetic works really well here. There is a level of polish here that makes everything seem to stand out nicely. Popping in front of and behind scenery as you traverse levels hasn’t felt this good for a long time. Even if boxes or lockers are hidden by foreground scenery there is usually a tell-tale glow of light or corner sticking out to keep it from feeling unfair.

The animations themselves are fantastic, Seraph moves fluidly at all times. No matter what action you are trying to do there is an instant response and change in animation, but at no point does it feel like the game is stumbling between predetermined animation scripts. This does mean that keeping a locked 60fps is extremely important to the feel. Unfortunately this meant a 1440p resolution cap as any higher produced a stuttering that threw me off completely.

Sound is a real low point though, the default pistol sounds quite pitiful. The rest of your arsenal sounds very similar to each other, but this is a game with a focus on the streamer, if the audio was a stand out feature it would distract from whoever is streaming it.
