A thermaltake toughram rgb 32GB or 64GB kit, with two sticks. There are two deep notches in the top of the heatspreader, offset to one side, which extend down the cooler with cold bare metal rather than the matte coating of the rest of the stick.

Thermaltake are fairly new to the memory business, having entered it back in 2019 with watercooled DDR4 kits. Subsequently 16GB (2x8GB) air-cooled kits were also announced, with a striking RGB illuminated heatspreader. Now Thermaltake are expanding the TOUGHRAM RGB range with 32GB (2x16GB) and 64GB (2x32GB) kits. These kits are available in speeds up to DDR4-4000, and validated on Intel Z490 and AMD X570 platforms.

These launches form part of the Thermaltake Expo 2020, which also features livestreams on the Thermaltake YouTube channel.

Meet the Thermaltake TOUGHRAM RGB 32GB and 64GB DDR4 Kits

Thermaltake’s memory isn’t all looks. With screened ICs and a 10-layer PCB, they have some serious OC chops. Hong Kong overclocker Lau Kin Lam has pushed one of Thermaltake’s 8GB sticks to a bus clock of 3111.7MHz – that’s over DDR4-6200! Most systems aren’t running liquid nitrogen cooling, but being one of only 8 scores past the DDR4-6000 mark is a huge endorsement of the engineering behind these sticks.

The new TOUGHRAM RGB 32GB and 64GB kits come in either black or white. In addition, the TT premium heatspreader has ten high power addressable RGB LEDs. Software support is extensive, covering ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI motherboards as well as Razer Chroma and even Amazon Alexa. That covers most of the RGB industry, though ASRock are conspicuous by their abscence. Thermaltake also offer their own software, with NeonMaker to help customise effects.

The black version of the TT toughram rgb 32GB and 64GB. May feel less matte and more brushed than the white version.
The black version has a brushed metal effect.
