CD PROJEKT SA has decided to push the launch of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt back to February 2015. They stated “The decision we made was difficult, thoroughly considered, and ultimately clear and obvious.”  They also go on to mention that the few extra months until release should help them achieve a better quality of game which is ultimately better for consumers.

They have included a direct note to gamers in their statement “Dear gamers – we know many of you would have liked to play The Witcher 3 sooner, as soon as possible, even. We’re sorry to make you wait longer than you, or we, initially assumed you would. At the same time, we believe the game will prove to be worth the wait and meet the expectations you have of us. We believe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be an exceptional RPG, one of the best, providing many hours of wonderful entertainment.”

With a lot of games being released to early as of late, we can all understand why CD PROJEKT SA wants to take the extra time to make sure their game is ready for release. Personally I would much rather wait the couple of months then get stuck with a buggy game that may or may not even be playable.
