Closer Look
The fans are very striking at first glance. The dual layered blade design, to my knowledge, is the first of its kind ever. This leads to a very colourful and visually pleasing aesthetic, the two tone contrasts are also something that would generally work very well in the vast majority of system builds. All of the fan blades have a plastic base which then has the base colour. In our examples the colour pairings are Black and White and Red and Black. The frames are all black with a white trim and the fan blades themselves are respectively black rubber with respective colored rubber where the colored sections are. This allows the fans to keep their silent operation by reducing the amount of air resistance and turbulence, but also helps to absorb any noise and vibration during operation.
A closer look at the fans details  the dual layer design which is as far as I know a completely unique design. As you may be able to make out from the photo, the shiny black surface is the plastic and the red is the rubber. The striped design across the blades also allows the blades to funnel the air through the blades, thus reducing air turbulence and resistance making the fan much quieter in theory.
On the rear of the blades is Aerocool’s FishEye design, this essentially is a series of small raised bumps on the rear of the blades which helps to channel air flow and further reduce air turbulence, this again decreases the noise signature but also helps to improve the fans overall performance by increasing static pressure. Static pressure being one of the most important factors to determine what fans to use on heatsinks and radiators. We can also see the cable routing that Aerocool have used to supply power to each of LEDs located in the corners of the fan and the rubber mounting that has been used in each corner of their fans to reduce vibration noise.
Here we get to see the placement of the LED’s on the fans frame as well as the wire routing for it. We also get a better look at the rubber anti-vibration fittings for the corners.
Taking a closer look at the 3-pin fan header, we can see that Aerocool have decided to sleeve the cable in a rubber coating. This appears to be quite tough and has a nice matte finish to it. Being black, it should also fit into most peoples’ builds better and without a doubt a sleeved cable looks a lot better in builds, so kudos to Aerocool for the effort and commitment to aesthetics.
As these fans have such a unique blade construction it does lead to a unique display when the fans are spinning. As you can see below, the blades form two rings when spinning, a unique look in itself. The fans also come colour coded with the LED’s, the white fans with white LED’s and the red fans with red LED’s.
And here is a quick night action shot! I can’t deny, they do look pretty cool.
