Performance

5v

The accoustin performance of these fans in 5v mode  is practically inaudible, the fans are absolutely silent, both the 120mm and 140mm shift a considerable amount of air as well. At this voltage, they’re rather impressive fans given that it’s less than half their operating voltage.

7v

The noise performance at 7v was virtually identical to the 5v test and were inaudible whilst moving a lot of air.

12v

Moving up to 12v, there was always going to be a lot of gain with regards to performance, and noise was obviously expected to increase as well. Whilst the fans were audible, they were probably the quietest I have ever used except for maybe the Enermax 800rpm T.B. Silence, which spin at a much slower speed but are also practically silent. The amount of airflow is the biggest surprise, these fans really do shift an awful lot of air delivering a powerful, but also focused torrent of air.

The fan can deliver a reasonable amount of static pressure at 12v ( 1.21 mm H2O) delivering the same performance as the Corsair SP120mm Quiet edition. I tested the 120mm fans on the BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 2 cooler and it reduced the temperature by approximately 9 degrees celcius, which is brilliant, it also reinforces the static pressure rating meaning that these fans would be brilliant on radiators.
