[section_title title=”Conclusion”] Conclusion

So another Bluetooth speaker has passed through the wringer here at Play3r, how has the BoomBar 2 fared? Lets recap.

From an aesthetics point of view I really like the BoomBar 2, it certainly has the nice clean design that really befits a wireless speaker, allowing it to look at home wherever you put it down. The all black theme with the matte plastic and the metal mesh grille over the speaker certainly looks and feels good, though I feel some aluminium touches like spun buttons or a brushed finish on the faces on either end of the speaker would have really finished the design off.

When it comes to performance the BoomBar 2 scores very well for me, its a nice companion for people who are on the go but still want to enjoy their music. The most profound example of this for me was using the speaker in the bathroom, even at the other side of the room well away from the water it still made my showers a much more pleasant musical experience and it is also a great companion out in the garden because the impressive volume really mean you can hear it clearly even from a good distance away.

The call quality was adequate which is all I ever ask and the battery life was also reasonable, as I said I can believe you would easily achieve 10 hours at a medium volume but I still think the BoomBar 2 would really benefit from a beefier battery.

So, is it good value? When you take into account the pleasant sound quality, clean looks, solid build and ease of use I’d say so yes. There are plenty of Bluetooth speakers available in this price range but the BoomBar 2 is definitely one of the better ones.

If you are after a portable speaker with an attractive design and good sound quality the BoomBar 2 is definitely worthy of consideration and I happily present it with our Gold award.

  1. I have the original version of this Bluetooth speaker. It is ok but the bass was a bit underwhelming so pleased to see Kitsound have improved it in this version.
