Corsair are certainly a company who need no introduction. Yet it’s easy to forget that the giant of the PC industry had a far fumbler beginning. Founded back in 1994, Corsair cut their teeth with pioneering high-performance DRAM. Since then we’ve seen them produce some of the most popular and sought after AIO CPU Coolers, Gaming Peripherals, SSD, Memory and Power Supplies to hit the market. That’s without even mentioning cases, something that I’ve had one or two of myself. Along with the rather tasty 800D launched in 2009, I’ve also owned the 750D, 500R, 230T, C70, 760T and still own the 350D. So you could say Corsair know a thing or two when it comes to cases.

What we’re looking at today as the latest addition to their Carbide series. A line-up of cases designed to be the foundation of awesome yet approachable gaming PCs and to have the high-end features you need, and nothing you don’t. So here we have the Corsair Carbide Series Clear 400C Compact Mid-Tower Case (or 400C to help prevent you running out of oxygen mid sentence). Corsair say they have engineered the Carbide Clear 400C to pack all the performance and expandability you need into a beautifully compact case design. One that will put your components on display through the gorgeous, full-size window panel that opens with a touch — and keep it all running cool and quiet with Direct Airflow technology.

All of which on paper it certainly looks it can do, we best take a closer look!
