The Build

As you can see below, the H440 case offers users an amazingly clean build once all is said and done. However, how much trouble do you have to go through to get it looking so nice? Well, simply put, NONE! The H440 range of cases from NZXT is ridiculously easy to build in and depending on your OCD level, require almost no real cable management to keep them hidden out of the way.

Building in the H440 is a pleasure, the only real issues that could come about is if you have a modular PSU and do not plug all the cables you will need in it before installation. As there are quite a few wires already, it can be a bit of a pain to add new cables onto a modular PSU as needed, not impossible, just one of those things that is easily avoided and could save a bit of frustration. Aside from that, the other small thing to keep in mind is the placement of the SSDs and the SATA ports on your motherboard. In the photo below, I actually took out the SSD I had installed so you could see the SATA ports on the motherboard. For me, the easiest thing to do was to plug the wires into the SSD, the install the SSD into the mounting bracket and lastly plug them into the motherboard and PSU. Trying to install the cable into the SSD once it was already mounted was a bit of a pain. Again, not a deal breaker by any means as is easily worked around, just something I thought I would share if you are planning on building in one of these lovely cases.

Aside from those two minor niggles, building inside one of these is easy and straight forward, everything has it’s own place and fits well. Cable management is almost nil thanks to the PSU shroud that goes across the bottom of the case and the way the 3.5″ hard drive bays are mounted also helps to hide cables with ease. This case is definitely a dream to work with and the ease of use and clean build you will be left with really help set it apart from a lot of other cases.
