Conclusion

I think just by looking at the Phanteks Evolv ATX, you can instantly see the appeal to Phanteks as a brand and of course, the products they produce.  The Evolv range has been an interesting one as we have not only seen the latest ATX release from Phanteks, but their ITX variation too; neither has disappointed, but how does the ATX version fare?

Well it’s good news to fans of Phanteks and more importantly, consumers looking for a premium feeling/looking chassis for their next planned system build; or as an upgrade to an existing case etc.  If you’re a water cooled maniac, air cooling master race or even a mixture of both, the Evolv ATX has enough to keep even the hardened enthusiast enticed; 360mm radiator support maximum due to the slide out bracket at the top of the case which is an ingenious implementation from Phanteks.

If it was up to me however, I would have completely boxed off the PSU shroud and had everything hidden as not everyone has aesthetically pleasing power supplies.  Even the one we used for the build (BitFenix Fury 650G) isn’t exactly a looker and a fully closed shroud would give a much cleaner look to ANY system being built inside this case.

Phanteks Evolv ATX Review 15

3 x 140mm Phanteks performance fans are inclusive of the £139.99 asking price from Overclockers UK which represents good value for money in my opinion. Couple this in with design implementations including pump/res brackets, hinged doors and the use of 3mm aluminium panels instead of an all steel construction only enhance the point we are making here; it’s a good case and a very reasonable price all things considered.

Would we buy one? Without a doubt and with that, comes our recommended award. As far as ATX cases go, Phanteks make some of the best; between their Enthoo and Evolv range every consumer, regardless of the M-ITX or ATX form factor, can pick something that’s both good quality and stylish. It’s also a very easy case to build inside and make look incredibly tidy and just for that, the Phanteks Evolv ATX deserves our gold award. It’s a great combination of price, style, quality and of course performance; anyone buying this case is most definitely getting a winner!
