Thermal Performance

For a tiny low profile cooler, the C7 doesn’t do too badly as we start our tests cutting around 30% off the temp of Intel’s stock cooler.

As we stress the CPU we see that the Cryorig C7 again holds its own against Intel’s stock cooler but doesn’t really cut it versus any of our other tested coolers.

As we ramp up the CPU to 4500MHz we see an interesting result. While the processor idles the Cryorig cooler suddenly appears in the mid-table showing that it’s limited cooling is not entirely restricted to stock speeds.

Sadly the C7 didn’t manage to keep the CPU cool enough to pass the load test when it was overclocked to 4500. I still think that an overclock is attainable but perhaps not much, maybe only around 4200MHz.

Read on for my conclusion.
