Conclusion

Starting off with the design, it is fairly basic but then again they are just fans,so not a whole lot can be done with them. There are 11 blades to help allow for as much airflow as possible. While the greyish colour of the fans is not an eye sore, it’s not really going to be a fan that will be used to complete a colour match build. While users will of course be able to find some components grey in colour, it will be hard to find everything in a grey to match the fans, something that may deter users from purchasing them.

Performance wise they work very well. The design and array of blades allows for a good amount of air to be created from each fan. While using them at 12V there is a bit of noise as one should expect, when using at 5v/7v where I would imagine most users will the noise is kept to a minimum and is more than bearable. Putting a couple of these in the front of any case is sure to help produce enough airflow throughout the case to help keep things cool and at the end of the day, that is what is important here.

When considering the price, which is around $13.99 they offer a fairly good value for the money. They are more than capable of performing to meet the needs of most, though they may be a bit louder than some would care for and the design, well, it could have been better. Companies are always trying to find ways to stand out which is what I think Deepcool went for here. The important part is they offer decent performance for what I would consider to be a mid-range case fan.

At the end of the day if you are looking for some case fans and the design of the GS120 strikes your fancy you won’t be let down. They are a good option for a mid-range cooling fan and offer suitable performance for the price. There is no doubt the GS120 will help keep everything inside your case cool.

I would like to thank Deepcool for sending the GS120 in for review and look forward to seeing more from them in the future.
