Thermalright was established in 2001 and quickly made its mark as a world-wide innovator of PC cooling products. They were the first to introduce copper heatsinks, use 120mm fans and were among some of the first companies to use heat pipes! Over the years the innovation never stopped, always pushing and looking to enhance design to give consumers better performing products. In 2006 Thermalright decided it was time to do away with flat contact plates and decided to engineer them as a convex base with the precise curvature carefully calculated by their engineers.

Today I will be taking a look at one of their newest coolers in the way of the Archon IB-E X2. It comes with 2 x TY-141 out of the box and features a single tower fin array. 8 x 6mm heatpipes are connected to a pure copper mirror finished contact plate that is nickel plated. The fin array itself is actually quite thin when comparing the widths of other coolers in this price range but as mentioned comes with 2 x TY-141 fans so should offer good performance and cooling.

Before taking a look at the specifications, here is a bit more information on Thermalright:
