One of the most important factors which influences graphics card performance is having adequate cooling.  Now the interesting thing about Maxwell is it advertises a lower TDP and of course a core which shouldn’t be a match for even a reference cooler; let alone an aftermarket one.  Now as you have probably seen already, MSI have equipped their variation of the NVIDIA GTX 970 with their newly designed Twin Frozr V (5) cooler which is a direct successor to the previous version; the Twin Frozr 4.

Here are some images depicting the changes and what that should mean for prospective consumers:

Looks good right?  Should prove to be an interesting card to review; especially as the Twin Frozr 4 cooler was brilliant too!  Let’s see how this translates into the actual performance of the card but first, a look at what Maxwell brings to the table…
