Realizing the audio market has changed significantly in the last 5 years or so, Charles Greenlees decided to head off on a new venture bringing consumers a new wave of portable audio devices to help those on the move.

Acousti-Phase was originally started in the 1970’s and at the time its products were loudspeakers. Today they are focusing on smaller, portable and most importantly, affordable devices.  Their first product to hit the market is in the way of the MC-1 which comes in a variety of cast aluminium colours.

The MC-1 offers a lot in a small package when looking on paper. We have 2x 1.77 full range speakers, 2x bass radiators, bluetooth 2.1, 1200mAh battery that is said to last around 8 hours and a built in microphone so we can use it to make phones calls. All in all it sounds very good but will it live up to the hype? Only one way to find out.

Before we have a look at the speaker let’s see what AcoustiPhase have to say about the MC-1.

AMAZING POWERFUL SOUND. SUPER COMPACT DESIGN

Weighing in at only 380g and around the same length of a pencil, this speaker delivers amazing powerful sound, with deep bass and clear, crisp high notes.
