Conslusion

Well, I have had some time to get used to the Kitvision Edge HD30W. And it is now time for me to give my final opinion, in short, I was quite impressed with it.

In terms of performance, the HD30W has no problem at all living up to its 1080P rating. With any new camera, there is a bit of a learning curve and once you have got to grips with the HD30W you will be left with clear, clean looking videos. If photos are more your thing than the 8MP camera will do a good job at catching those moments for you that just do not require a video. As far as battery performance is concerned it will definitely last for its rated 3 hours of recording video and if just taking the occasional photo it will of course last much, much longer. When looking at the performance as a whole, the HD30W does what it says it will and it does it well, it takes great videos and photos and the battery lasts long enough so you won’t have to mess about charging it all the time.

The design of the Edge HD30W was well thought out and planned by the folks at Kitvision. While it may be a bit bigger than other action cams, it has a removable TFT screen and interchangeable backs on its protective/waterproof casing that help to keep it as compact as can be. There are enough buttons and switches on the outside of the camera that users should have a fairly easy time getting it all set up to their liking without having to spend too much time in the actual menu and settings part of the camera. Thinking ahead, Kitvision have also included a number of different mounts and accessories to go along with the HD30W to make sure users can capture the most in any situation.

The value of the Edge HD30W is good when considering all that you get. You are getting a great camera that is waterproof, has a removable screen and also comes with a few extra mounts and accessories that some companies would try and charge you extra for and make you purchase separately. If you want a good quality product you may pay a bit more for it and while the Edge HD30W is not the cheapest of action cams, it is far from being the most expensive well. I really fell when considering everything the Edge HD30W offers a good value and will make most who purchase it happy.

I would like to thank Kitvision for sending the edge HD30W Action Camera in for review and look forward to seeing what they may come out with next.
