[section_title title=”Conclusion”] Conclusion

Jumping right into the performance and though I am not a proper audiophile I do still enjoy my music and I was a tad bit let down from the Loop. Overall the sound quality is quite good but for the price tag I expect a lot more, now this may just be down to me but I don’t feel the sound lives up to the price tag. When listening at lower to mid-range volumes everything sounds great but once you turn it up a bit louder there is a bit of distortion from time to time and the sound just doesn’t sound as crisp as it should. However, would the distortion be as noticeable at higher volumes if the sound wasn’t so crisp at lower ones? It is hard to say really.

When it comes to the design of the Loop, Libratone have done an amazing job. While the wool cover may not be for everyone, it does come in various colours and it also blends in quite nicely with a modern-day looking setting. The aesthetically pleasing exterior aspect is however not the only place where the design shines through though, oh no! Removing the Wool cover will show users the layout of the individual speakers and radiator to help the sound fill a room up, which of course is always a good thing.

Considering the price I would have hoped for a tiny bit better sound from it overall; especially at higher volumes, though I really don’t know what I should have been expecting in general from a speaker of this price. I can say this however, now that there is also a Bluetooth version that is available I feel that will help in favour of the price to performance ratio even if that model does cost a bit extra than the normal AirPlay version.

While all is said and done I may have been a bit out of my element on this one and while I would have hoped for a bit better sound as mentioned the overall performance was not that bad. Those familiar with Libratone and their exceptionally designed speakers know what to expect and if this is your type of thing it should be a decent choice.

I would like to thank Libratone for sending the Loop in for review and look forward to getting better acquainted with their products in the future.
