For the performance part of this review I connected four devices to the PNY Wireless Media Reader and was actually quite impressed with it. It was just as straight forward as connecting one device and I didn’t really notice any lag or slow downs. The only real place there was a noticeable difference in speed was when connecting each device to the PNY Wireless Media Reader. After the first device was connected it took a couple of extra seconds to connect the rest of the devices via wifi, not an issue as was literally only 2-3 seconds more.

Once all of my mobile devices were connected to the PNY Wireless Media Reader I set off to see what it was made of. I started up movies across all of the devices and was quite amazed that they didn’t take very long to load. The buffer time was around 5 seconds to get the movies to start playing then once playing it only took another 2-3 for the full clarity to come through. I watched various movies for around ten minutes or so and while doing so would skip ahead and jump back across various devices without noticing any lag or increased buffer times.

After I was happy with the movie performance I set off doing random things across all of the devices and didn’t encounter any hiccups. I was viewing photos and word documents on one while watching a movie on another and changing settings on a third. There was of course a bit of input lag across the devices but this is to be expected with any device using a wireless connection.

Let us not forget about the inbuilt power bank as well. While the 2,000mAh is surely not enough to charge a Samsung Note 3 it did have around an 80% efficiency which is an added bonus feature that should definitely come in handy but take note, if you are charging your device you can not use it as a media streamer, it’s one or the other.
