[section_title title=”Closer Look”]Closer Look

Taking a look at the overall design of the motherboard these are a few of things that will grab your attention first. You will either notice the nicely finished red aluminium heatsinks or you will notice the grey ram slots that stick out like a sore thumb. Looking at the board a bit closer we can of course notice our CPU Socket, M.2 Socket, PCI Lanes as well as all of our connector ports.

Taking a closer look at our SATA ports we can now see the Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5 supports Sata Express as well, helping to insure we have all the options available that we might need.

Again, we will look at the RAM slots. I for one and not at all a fan of the grey slots and feel it really ruins the aesthetics of this board for me though it does offer support for up 32GB of ram running at 3200(O.C.)MHz.
