[section_title title=”Conclusion”]Conclusion

The CM Storm Xornet is a budget mouse geared towards FPS gamer’s with a claw grip. Is it a worth purchase or have CM Storm gone too budget with the Xornet?

Recapping on the design and performance first, the design will take a bit of getting used to if you’re not a native claw gripper. Once you get used to the grip it is a surprisingly good mouse to use. The 2000 DPI Storm Tactical Optical Sensor will not let you down in terms of tracking, but if you are used to a higher DPI then it may take a bit of getting used to. Using a slower DPI has its pros and cons, the only real cons being the time it takes to get used to it – it may have even improved my accuracy just a tad.

When considering the price of the mouse, it is then that it becomes apparent it is a force to be reckoned with. Coming in just shy of £15 for an FPS Gaming mouse, say what? Yes! The price really is that cheap and don’t let that fool or worry you into thinking this mouse is not a worthy purchase because it is. It has an ergonomic design and a 5 million click rating, and performs as well as you could ask for. A true bargain in my opinion.

Overall the CM Storm Xornet is a top performer in its price range and if you are in the market for a budget gamin mouse then the Xornet is definitely worthy of a place on your comparison list.

I would like to thank Cooler Master for sending the Xornet in and look forward to seeing more from them in the future.
