Conclusion

The £55.10 price point puts the Rival 300 in a more than reasonable price, especially this particular model. The CS:GO community hopefully are happy with how this mouse looks and plays, I personally think it’s a great piece of licensed merchandise for such a popular game that is sturdy and comfortable to use.

This mouse feels like it was a labour of love, not only for the mouse itself but for the licensing too, it feels like it was almost fan made. The fade is great and is a really unique mouse that if you have friends over will be rather striking, and in my hand, it feels very comfortable, it’s a bit bigger than mouse gaming mice I’ve had the pleasure of using over the years. Changing colours is an easily done with the SteelSeries Engine 3 Software and changing colours can become an easy matter of a different colour every day if you should choose to do this.

Now the most important question of all is whether this is worth the money? I do think it is well worth the money, it’s easily my favourite mouse I’ve experienced in recent memory. Of course, there are other gaming mice out there to choose from, but this one really is a comfortable one you can game with for hours, and this particular model is probably the best looking I’ve seen in a while. £55 is a big chunk of cash to dish out on any peripheral, especially for a mouse, but take into consideration how big this mouse is, how it’s a plug and play, so no hunting around for drivers or any software to make it work. Is it essential for CS:GO players? Not entirely, but if you’re a huge fan and you’d love something that’s particular to that franchise, then hell, this item is one for your list!
