Tesoro Technology USA, or Tesoro for short, were formed in 2011 by a team of gaming enthusiasts. With the aim of producing and designing products aimed at arming gamers with tools, their main focus is PC gaming. In a short space of time not only do they have a formidable range of products but they recently partnered up with Team Infused, a top gaming brand. With that being said, it’s time to introduce what is up for review.
Today I will be taking a look at the Tizona, one of Tesoro’s latest mechanical keyboards but this of course has a twist. It features a TKL (tenkeyless) design but also comes available and an optional numpad which seems to be a good idea right? That remains to be seen but the Tizona is primarily focused towards the budget range of gamers and is available in 4 different Kailh switch flavours; blue, brown, black and red.
Kailh switches are effectively a slight modification on the more well-known Cherry MX switches and after the patent ran out, other manufacturers could in turn start using the design for themselves. Could these mean the introduction of many different and possibly better value for money mechanical keyboards in the future? It’s hard to say…
The main question is how will the Tizona perform and is it the smart option for those on a budget and potentially even those who have the money to spend on options such as Filco and Ducky keyboards? Let’s get started, starting with the specifications…
