[section_title title=”Conclusion”]Conclusion

After a few good days of testing and quite a bit of gaming, much to my wife’s dismay, I am ready to give my final thoughts on the Tt eSPORTS Talon Gaming Mouse.

When it comes to performance I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, for a budget gaming mouse of sorts the performance was better than what I was honestly expecting. With the Avago 3050 optical sensor at the wheel and the Omron switches riding shotgun, the Talon is a well-rounded mouse. All of the buttons have a nice clicky responsive feel to them and the Avago sensor does a good job at offering the no prediction feedback so it moves smoothly and how the user directs it to do so. This type of performance from a budget gaming mouse is sure to help raise standards across the board which can only mean good things for all us users.

Looking at the ambidextrous design, users are left with two options, use the mouse as per normal, or they have the option to remove the sides which will in turn make the mouse a bit smaller and may fit some users hand a bit better. One of the things I would have personally liked to of seen was another button of some sort on the right hand side because as mentioned in the closer look, trying to use the buttons on the left, left handed was a bit of a hassle to me and could put a bit of a damper on the whole ambidextrous design. Aside from this one issue which may or may not concern all users, the Talon is definitely symmetrical and in my opinion, quite comfortable.

The point where the Talon really shines is its value. For just $20 you are getting a mouse with an Avago 3050 Optical sensor and Omron switches both of which offer amazing quality at this price point. Being able to further customize the Talon by choosing from 1 of 6 LED colours, or disabling the LEDs only further add to the value and the fact that you can easily take the sides off to make the mouse smaller for users who need it is amazing.

When all is said and done the Talon is a great budget mouse and while the flashing LEDs on the normal model may not be to everyone’s liking they can be turned off and the sheer value the mouse has to offer for $20 makes this factor easy to overlook.

I would like to thank Tt eSPORTS for sending the Talon in for review and look forward to seeing more from them.
