As with a lot of gaming mice these days there is a bit of software to go along with it to allow users to customize the mouse to their individual preferences. Let’s have a look at the software for the VENTUS.

Starting off with the main screen we can notice quite a few options. We can set up different profiles, there are normal and Battle modes and a section to set the function of each individual button if you would prefer it to do something other than the default.

Main

On the right hand side of the software, sort of in the middle there are two buttons, performance and light option. The Performance option as pictured below allows users an easy way to change their DPI, Polling rate and lift-off control. Looking at the DPI part of the performance tab you will notice four options, this is due to the fact if you use the bottom DPI button that is just under the scroll wheel there are four different settings, this allows you to customize those.

Performance

The lighting part of the software is pretty basic and rather boring, though I imagine some users will want to totally turn of the lights from time to time. One thing I would have liked to see here is an option to keep the Dragon under the vents permanently illuminated. The only options for the time being are off, or to let it have its breathing glow going on.

There is also a tab where you can set up Macros. This will come in handy for those RPG and MMO players that need to set things up to act as if they were hitting a few buttons as quick as possible.
