[section_title title=Conclusion]Conclusion

While we do not currently have an ATE load tester at Play3r, we do try to do what testing we can when it comes to power supplies. With that being said it was a pleasure doing our normal tests on the Toughpower DPS G 650W as it has its own built-in application to monitor everything. While I could not measure to see if there was any ripple in the lines, I was glad to see there was little fluctuation between voltages whether idling or at load.

The Design of the Toughpower DPS G is is going to be the area in my opinion which it shines the most as I consider the App. to also be a part of the design and not just the aesthetics. Even with that being said, the aesthetics are still pleasing and will not damper the look of your build. The smart DPS App. though steals the show as I mentioned, it makes it seamlessly easy for users to monitor, record and even share their statistics with others, something which will certainly come in handy to a lot of people. While there are of course other ways to monitor everything, having it all in one convenient App is great. Thermaltake have done a great job on every aspect of the design when it comes to the Toughpower DPS G Range of power supplies.

When considering the price of the Toughpower DPS G 650W it is a bit higher than similar models from competitors. However, the others, of course, don’t come with the compatibility to monitor everything VIA an easy to use application which will add to the overall price of the PSU. While I personally feel the Toughpower DPS G is priced a bit high, it is not so ridiculously high to not consider purchasing it. At the time, it has some unique features I have yet to see from another PSU and at the end of the day, these features may be worth the extra cost to some, which is totally understandable.

I would like to thank Thermaltake for sending the Toughpower DPS G 650W in for review and look forward to seeing more from them in the future.
