I have put the Corsair Voyager Air 2 through its paces and now it is time to see how it all adds up. Does it live up to the high quality standards we have all come to know and love from Corsair?

Performance wise I was thoroughly impressed. As an external drive it held it’s own and when using it for its main purpose, wireless media streaming, it held up great and buffer times were only 1-2 seconds on average. Some buffer time is to be expected any time when using a wireless device of any sort. Real world performance was also on par when transferring files to the device, taking only a few seconds to transfer a whole movie onto the Voyager Air 2.

The design is very simplistic and is sure not to cause an eyesore. It is black so should blend in nicely with most other electronic devices such as games consoles or even modems and routers. It is also fairly small so should be able to be tucked away with ease. Its shape and size should also allow for it to be placed atop other devices without causing to much of a disturbance. The LED indicator panel was also thought out very well, while the LEDs are definitely easy to see when illuminated they are not so bright as to light up half the room if the lights are off, a very nice touch if you ask me.

Taking a look at the price and you definitely get what you pay for, a top of the line wireless media streamer that can also double as a standard external hard drive if and when need be. The price, which is just shy of £130 here in the UK, may seem a bit much at first but you have to remember what you are getting and who you are getting it from. It offers around 930GB of formatted space for wireless storage and streaming and also comes with a 3 year warranty directly from Corsair which is amazing as Corsair’s customer service is second to none.

All-in-all if you are looking for a wireless media streamer the Voyager Air 2 is definitely one to consider. It does what it says on the box and it does it well. It also offers amazing performance and coupled with a 3 year warranty from Corsair you can’t go wrong! For the money you are getting a top-of-the-line product from a very reputable company.

I would like to thank Corsair for sending the Voyager Air 2 in for review and award it our ‘Gold’ award. I look forward to seeing more from Corsair in the future.
