If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! That’s exactly what Ubisoft went with here because Assassin’s Creed: Revelations plays the same. There have been some pretty cool additions though like the hook blade which makes climbing buildings much faster and easier for Ezio, the explanation for the addition is Ezio’s age which is a great coincidental reason to add it. The Desmond scenes again are something I’m not overly fond of and it’s simply another section of the game that could easily not be there and I’d be overjoyed with the game.

This latest chapter in the AC universe was released right at the end of 2011 which was strange because it saw two AC games in one calender year. This game I will say is a good improvement graphically from Brotherhood, and it does show signs of looking prettier in certain aspects, especially Ezio’s character model which shows a lot of age and wisdom in his face. The place where you play the game also looks especially pretty as ever and I can never applaud Ubisoft Montreal enough for the love and care they put into every area they sculpt.

A strange, but also nice, addition to the game is the fact that Ezio can pickpocket enemies mid-combat, which is cool if you just want to run away rather than kill. Recruitment is back in this game and I’m glad to see it; having a small army of assassins at hand to help you, and to go out and do specific missions is a nice addition to the game, and they can certainly help you out in a tight spot. Something called Animus Island was added with Assassin’s Creed: Revelations for Desmond which allows him to relive his past. You unlock this area by collecting Animus data fragments, and it does add new things to the game even if it’s not something I’m a huge fan of particularly.

The multiplayer again is a fantastic thing to have with this game plainly because there aren’t enough assassination multiplayers. With the latest game they have added new modes, maps and abilities as well as characters to play which makes the multiplayer feel improved upon and adds more hours of fun for gamers buying this title which is worth the money!

As far as how my computer coped, everything went perfectly on my PC, no stuttering or lagging. There was the odd glitch which you expect to happen in an expansive open world game like this, it was a needle in a haystack kind of thing with how often it really happened though. I had everything pumped up to maximum on 1920×1080 with my beast of a 970 and I had very little problem achieving it with games like Fallout 4, Witcher 3, etc, so this game was a small problem in comparison. I didn’t really check but from how smooth it was going, it seemed to be running from anywhere from 60-100 fps which was very nice to see a game running so well.
