Not too much in this game has changed since Black Flag which is always good, seeing that was my favourite game in the series thus far. They have added some things with AC:Rogue however like the icebergs and ice water as mentioned before, they also added environmental hazards like poison gas barrels, these drive victims in a certain radius berserk which is pretty awesome. You can avoid it yourself by pulling a mask over your face. Another thing is swimming, if you swim for too long Shay’s health will deteriorate; due to this, underwater sections were completely removed.

Hunting is back too! With new animals to fit the region you play in like narwhals, polar bears and even white whales are in the game! You can also kill civilians again, while Shay is still with assassins he will de-synch and have a penalty, but when he leaves the assassins this is no longer an issue, which was actually a rather cool way to do things, seeing they’re two different orders. All the same things have been added again though as far as collectibles go, the Animus data fragments, sea shanties, maps, etc.

Sadly you will have Abstergo sections yet again… I know… I honestly thought this would be the game to be without any Abstergo. The reason behind that being that you aren’t playing as a Desmond Miles ancestor, so they could maybe just turn the series into an awesome alternative history game, sadly though I think Abstergo will always be a part of the Assassin’s Creed series.

Multiplayer is the same saviour as ever, being coincidentally as fun as ever, it is rather sad that one game’s multiplayer dies as the next game releases though… The mechanics for playing it haven’t really been changed though with a compass indicating the enemies position as part of the eagle vision and whispers that become louder and louder as enemies get closer to you.

My computer did well with this game in the franchise, I didn’t have any stuttering, glitching or bugs. I did let my partner have a go at it at one point for a while (it was her first time playing PC), I was called in after roughly an hour or so, to a frozen screen, at which point I found the game had crashed. It hasn’t happened again, and I’m not sure what the cause was, but the game rungs perfectly fine on ultra on my beast!
