Batman Arkham Knight : No SLI or Crossfire Support Coming 1

To say that Arkham Knight had a bad launch on PC is an understatement, it had numerous issues from bad frame rates, missing graphical effects to hitches running on HDD drives, but after taking the unusual step of stopping the sales of the game and offering refunds, Warner Brothers re-released the game with many fixes at the end of October and now it is a much better game it is still not 100% right. Firstly there was the memory issue on Windows 10 which for people who have less then 12GB of ram they said this.

“For Windows 10 users, we’ve found that having at least 12GB of system RAM on a PC allows the game to operate without paging and provides a smoother game play experience” .

Not very useful information i know but still it could hopefully be fixed. But for the people who were hoping to get a performance boost using Sli or Crossfire then there is bad news, on the Steam forums someone asked about supporting Crossfire or Sli and the developer responded with.

“We’ve been working with our development and graphics driver partners over the last few months to investigate utilizing multi-GPU support within Batman: Arkham Knight. The result was that even the best case estimates for performance improvements turned out to be relatively small given the high risk of creating new issues for all players. As a result we’ve had to make the difficult decision to stop work on further multi-GPU support. We are disappointed that this was not practical and apologize to those who have been waiting for this feature.”

My own thoughts: I can imagine for quite a few people this could be a deal breaker, i am running the game on Intel 4690k a 970 on a 1080p monitor and the frame rate is over 60 with the odd drop, but for people wanting to run the game in higher resolutions it may be a problem. Just remember if you have bought the game on Steam you are eligible for refunds regardless of how long you have played the game until the end of the year via the Steam refund system.
