Amsterdam, 15 December 2014: MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips Monitors, today introduced a new 27-inch IPS display that combines stunning visuals in the glossy-white Moda design with expansive sound from integrated 7-watt speakers as well as Bluetooth connectivity to stream music.

“Looks really matter when people choose a display for their living space,” says Thomas Schade, Vice President EMEA at MMD. “We’re confident that the new display will attract attention for all the right reasons. Not only does it offer great 360-degree looks with the Moda 2 design, people can also look forward to a captivating viewing and listening experience combined in a single device, with surround sound from the integrated speakers and Bluetooth connectivity to reduce cable clutter.”

The highlights of the new Philips 275C5QHAW display in brief:

360-degree captivating looks
The display has a clean, minimalistic look and wrap-around elegance to complement any living space. The actual screen border takes up minimal space: the outer bezel thickness measures no more than 2.5 mm, and the in-panel black matrix strip is just 3.5 mm wide. This creates an even cleaner look, with minimal distractions and maximum viewing size.

Expansive sound
The display’s integrated 7-watt speakers are powered by a sound system which is tuned with SRS WOW HD™ technology for enhanced audio. The result is surround sound with virtual 5.1 channels for an immersive audio experience.

Bluetooth streaming
The last thing any living (or working) space needs is more cables. Since the 275C5QHAW display features Bluetooth technology, users can wirelessly stream music from compatible devices, and enjoy their content in stunning audio quality. The display’s Bluetooth speaker system is also a convenient way to make and take hands-free speakerphone calls.

Captivating viewing quality
With its AH-IPS technology, the display’s extra-wide viewing angles mean users can view screen content clearly from almost any angle – ideal for getting people round the screen to look at photos or a movie. With Full HD widescreen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the display supports the highest HD resolution for maximum picture quality.

The new Philips Brilliance 275C5QHAW display will be available in major electronics stores in December 2014 at a suggested retail price of GBP 279.
