Extreme One-Eighties Noise Cancelling Headphones Review 6

[section_title title=”Introduction”]

Introduction

Brand: Extreme
Model: One-Eighties Blackout Edition
Price: £142.54 (At the time of review)

The brand Extreme is typically associated with the extreme sports channel, which features BMXing, Skating, Surfing and many more “extreme” sports, so it made me think twice when I was asked if I would like to review a pair of their latest headphones. Extreme has partnered up with British firm Otone, to produce a range of Extreme audio products such as headphones and speakers. An arrangement like this works well for a company that is wanting to enter a new market without having to fork up the initial capital required. Otone are known for their high quality, yet affordable audio products, so I am keen to see how this partnership has turned out.

Today I am taking a look at a pair of headphones dubbed One-Eighties – no doubt named after a common trick in many extreme sports, with this particular edition called ‘Blackout’ due to the colour scheme. Two other flavours are available: Artist and Heritage, both with a unique colour theme. The One-Eighties are marketed as Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) headphones, so it will be interesting to see how well they compare against my BOSE Quiet Comfort headphones that I use on a regular basis, but before I do that, let’s check out what the headphones are providing and the tech specs:
