Asus has announced their GTX 650TI Boost DirectCU II graphics card. It ships with a factory overclocked GPU with a 1020Mhz base clock and a 1085MHz boost clock. It comes with 2GB or GDDR5 memory on a 192-bit memory bus and is compatible with the latest DirectX 11.1.
The DirectCU II cooler, Asus claims, maintains 20% lower temperatures than a reference card and is up to 3x quieter. The heat-sink uses all-copper heat pipes that directly touch the GPU and two 80mm fans with optimised blades to minimise drag which results in minimal vibration and noise.
The card also boasts the use of Super Alloy Power components which they claim increases the average overclocking range by 15% and increases the longevity to 1.5 times that of a reference card.
The card can also be used with Asus’ own GPU tweak utility to allow for easy tweaking of settings including core and memory clocks, fan speeds and voltages to get the most out of the card. The cards dimensions are 25.9 x 13.2 x 3.81cm and has outputs of 1 x DVI-I, 1 x DVI-D, 1 x HDMI and 1 x regular DisplayPort.
