[section_title title=Introduction]Introduction

Corsair are one of those companies who needs no introduction but for those who don’t actually know of them, they are one of the most popular manufacturers of cases, PC cooling, peripherals and memory in the world.  With popular products such as Dominator memory and Carbide chassis, they have cornered the global market as one of the biggest manufacturing names in the technological era.  With that being said, Corsair originally formed in 1994 and is currently based in Fremont, CA in the USA.

As mentioned, Corsair have many popular and top quality chassis available but the one I am specifically taking a look at today is their latest case from the Carbide chassis range. Now that Corsair is vastly expanding into many different form factors, they are aiming cases not only at enthusiasts but also general users. I will be taking a look at their latest gaming case from the brand new SPEC series, the “SPEC-03”.

With its aggressive look, ATX form factor, USB 3.0 support and a 2 year warranty, it is going to appeal to gamers looking to stamp a mark on their system, on the other hand does it not compare to previous models in the Carbide range?  I intend to find out, but first here is a little bit about the SPEC-03…

What Corsair has to say about the Carbide SPEC-03:

The SPEC-03 features an industrial, high-airflow front panel, a huge windowed side panel and a front 120mm LED fan. Add to that our USB 3.0 and native, tool-free SSD and HDD installation and you can have your killer gaming rig up and running in minutes.

Most cases at this price point don’t give you the combination of great looks and great features that the SPEC-03 does. Up to dual 140mm front intake fan, an rear 120mm exhaust, and room for massive graphics cards makes the SPEC-03 stand out among the crowd.
