Starting off with the packaging, the MSI A88XI AC motherboard comes in a relatively small box; understandable given the motherboard is M-ITX. The main colour of the box itself is white but it also has blue accents throughout. On the front there is information regarding the model number, brand and it also lists the ACs features such as USB 3.0, SATA 6GB/s and one of AMD’s refreshed features, the PCI EX Gen 3 support.
On the rear MSI have gone with the same theme throughout but this time, there is a more detailed list of the specifications and lists even more features such as 4k support. One thing I love about MSI’s packaging is the I/O preview which lists all the available connections; something which I feel all the manufacturers should implement on their packaging.
Bundled with the MSI A88XI AC FM2+ motherboard is the following
1 x Rear I/O shield
1 x User guide
2 x Antenna’s for the built in wireless
2 x Driver/utility installation discs
1 x Test sheet
2 x SATA cables
1 x Quick installation guide
You couldn’t really ask for more in terms of accessories as all the bases are covered. I do think it is a bit strange that the drivers/utilities are spread across 2 discs instead of 1 but who am I to argue!
