The MSI Z97I GAMING AC comes inside a gorgeous red and black box which is emblazoned with the MSI GAMING Dragon. It features information such as the brand (MSI of course), the model number and other information regarding some of the features such as Audio Boost 2, Killer E2200 NIC and support for the Haswell (socket LGA1150) processors. With the MSI GAMING crest on display its hard not to know that this is another GAMING board from MSI but we shall see if it makes the grade.
Over on the rear, there is a more comprehensive list of features and also little illustrations showing information such as the rear I/O specs, what Audio Boost 2 and Killer NIC bring to the table, as well as Sound Blaster Cinema 2 software support to interface between the operating system and the hardware itself.

There are plenty of optional accessories, including the wireless AC module & antennas, which give the Z97I GAMING AC Wi-Fi capability with speeds up to 5GHz which is phenomenal in my opinion. The door hanger is also a nice touch and further solidifies this board as a “true” gamer’s choice.
Also new with the new MSI Z97 boards are the new I/O shields, there isn’t much different but it does feel much better quality than the Z87 variants.
