Futuremark, the makers of popular benchmarking software PCMark and 3DMark have released a statement to let users know which software is compatible with Windows 10.
As a summary, the following table shows the current state of play:
We see that all currently supported Futuremark benchmark titles except PCMark Vantage are compatible, at least to some extent, with Windows 10. However, they tell us that you will need to have the latest version of their SystemInfo component installed (download it here).
The following software all works fine with Windows 10.:
- 3DMark
- 3DMark 11
- 3DMark Vantage
- Powermark
As for the software with current problems, Futuremark says that PCMark 8 is compatible with Windows 10, but they have seen some problems with the Photo Editing test on select NVIDIA hardware, which is possibly related to drivers. There is hope though, NVIDIA has been notified and Futuremark are still working to try to resolve the problem.
PCMark 7 is also compatible with Windows 10 but seems to have the occasional stability issue on some configurations. Although Futuremark don’t know the cause of this instability they continue to work on it in order for the software to be fully compatible.
Moving on to older software and we see start of the retirement of PCMark Vantage. While it is still going to be supported on Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1, it is not compatible with Windows 10 and will not be supported
The excellent but rather dated 3DMark 06 and PCMark 05 are considered irrelevant to modern hardware and are not supported on any platform.
