The specification for the GTX 780 have been leaked on the Chinese site PCOnline which reveals that the card will come with 2304 CUDA Cores, 192 Texture units, 48ROPs and 3GB of GDDR5 on a 384bit interface. This is only slightly lower than previous reports which claimed the card would be released with 2496 CUDA Cores, 204 Texture units and 5GB of GDDR5 on a 320bit interface.
The site also revealed the reference clocks of the GPU which will be 863MHz on the core and 1502MHz on the memory (6002MHz QDR). This will mean that we will see around a 25% increase in performance over the GTX 680. Nothing was mentioned about the boost clock on the GPU, but we can expect it to be around the 900MHz mark based on what we’ve seen on the Titan.
Here we see the predicted results from PConline which show the GTX 780 scoring 28% higher than the GTX 680 and only 14% lower than the GTX Titan. The rumored UK retail price of £425 to £510 will make it a very good buy for fans of NVIDIA.
