A mute button allows the user to stop communication on the fly. The ModMic is for users with headphones who prefer a dedicated microphone, than a combined headset.
Included with the ModMic, the instructions, alcohol wipe, carrying case, one extra 3M pad for re-attachment of the base, foam filter for the microphone, and of course the microphone itself.
The ModMic uses a 3.5mm jack plated TRS connector directly into the PC with a lengthy cable at 3.3 meters of length with 2.5mm diameter with coaxial shielding. The mute button is approximately 150mm from the end of the boom near shirt pocket height, a perfect position to reach and mute or unmute when needed. The boom microphone is 175mm in length with a flexible steel arm, which allows for easy manipulation.
