Have you ever played a game and thought to yourself “you know what I wish, if I died in this game then that would be the end.” Well the new DLC for Far Cry 4 now brings with it permadeath. Yes that’s right permadeath added to Far Cry 4. For those who don’t know, permadeath is part of the new DLC titled “Escape from Durgesh Prison.”
The DLC is available on the 13th January on Xbox and PC, and 14th January on the PlayStation Network. The DLC is time trial mode in which player’s race against the clock – and other players – to complete challenges and try and get the top spot on leaderboards.
In the new DLC Ajay and Hurk wake up after being captured, tortured and yes stripped of their weapons in Yuma’s prison. The DLC puts forward a series of challenges to find your weapons and unlock new skills while trying to survive and reach the extraction point. The DLC will make you run across Kyrat to complete a long list of side objectives in order to get a higher score. These are dictated by Pagan Min. The DLC then ends with a final stand against Yuma’s army. The good news is you can play this both in single player and co-op, yay.
Ubisoft has publicly warned that the new DLC will not be easy. It will be extremely difficult and when you die (or your partner) you need to restart the mission all over again.
You can buy the DLC separately or purchase within the season pass.
