Now Apple TV users can enjoy this high-intensity, interval workout on the big screen
(Atlanta, GA – January XX, 2016) – Wahoo Fitness, the leader in workout apps and smartphone connected fitness devices, is proud to announce that the acclaimed Wahoo 7 Minute Workout app is now available on the new Apple TV. The Wahoo 7 Minute Workout is a science-based, high-intensity, interval workout that packs 12 bodyweight exercises into a focused seven-minute training session. Because it requires no gym equipment, the 7 Minute Workout app for Apple TV is absolutely perfect for home use. The Wahoo 7 Minute Workout, a free download from the App Store on the new Apple TV, is among the first Apple TV apps that connect directly to an external device for counting reps and intensity.
To enhance the effectiveness of the Wahoo 7 Minute Workout app, users can easily pair Wahoo’s popular TICKRx heart rate monitor and workout tracker directly to the new Apple TV. The TICKRx precisely measures heart rate, calories burned and, through the use of Wahoo’s patented advanced motion-capture analytics, records and analyzes form data and counts repetitions. That info is displayed in real time on an Apple TV user’s television screen. In the continued strategy of creating an open, consumer-centric workout ecosystem, Wahoo has also developed the TICKRx Software Development Kit to enable Bluetooth fitness devices to connect directly with the Apple TV. TICKRx is currently the only Heart Rate Monitor to connect directly to the Apple TV via Blutooth LE making it the perfect companion device for any workout.
“The TICKRx is Wahoo’s most advanced heart rate monitor and workout tracker,” said Chip Hawkins, CEO of Wahoo Fitness. “When matched with Wahoo’s 7 Minute Workout app and the new Apple TV, it provides simple, effective at-home training for time-starved consumers.”
The Wahoo 7 Minute Workout app for Apple TV is now available on the App Store for Apple TV and the Wahoo TICKRx is available in Apple Stores worldwide and at wahoofitness.com.
