Edge Magazine reported that there would be a delay in the release of the Sony Playstation 4 in Europe. “Development sources with working knowledge of both next generation consoles have told us that the PlayStation 4 will be more powerful than the next Xbox.  The PS4 will ship with a redesigned controller and launch by the end of the year in Japan and the US.  PlayStation 4’s European launch will follow in early 2014.”
But CVGÂ have debunked that report today stating that “an insider involved with PlayStation’s business strategy now expects Microsoft will make more aggressive advances into Europe as it fights for market dominance. Â The source told CVG that Sony, having learned hard lessons from the 360’s first-mover advantage, will renew efforts to maintain its success in the region.”
If the above is true then expect the Playstation 4 later this year as expected. Â I for one am looking forward to a more even balance between the two competing consoles.
