[section_title title=Introduction]

Introduction

  • Manufacturer: Element Gaming
  • Model: Hyperion
  • Price: £54.99 (at the time of the review)

Today I’m here to take a look at the Hyperion from Element Gaming, a company which if I’m honest, I had not heard of before being sent the Hyperion for review. I’m sure it’s the same for many of you too! The Hyperion is a dual chamber cubed chassis which supports Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards and is designed specifically for gamers and multimedia enthusiasts.  The Hyperion comes out of the box with 4 fans two of which have blue LEDs and there is support for water cooling radiators.

Here’s what Element Gaming have to say about the Hyperion:

Element Gaming have packed plenty of features into this Micro ATX case.  The top of the cabinet houses audio ports as well as USB 2.0 and super-fast USB 3.0 ports.

Inside the case, there is plenty of room and the Hyperion also features tool-free installation as well as a cable management system.  There is support for both micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards making the case extremely flexible.  The case can also accommodate PS2ATX power supplies as well as a 325mm VGA card and 155mm high CPU cooler.

Cooling is of course hugely important when building a high-specification PC and the Hyperion is equipped with 4 x 120mm fans – two mounted to the side and one each to the front and rear.  Two are LED lit and there is plenty of room for more on all sides of the case.  But there is also support for liquid cooling systems with capacity for 2x140mm radiators on the top or 2 x 120mm radiators on one side of the case.

Added to this is room for 5 internal 3.5″ drives or 7 x 2.5″ drives and a removable 5.25″ external drive bay.  The expansion potential with this case is massive as it has five PCI slots – surely enough to satisfy the needs of every PC builder.
