[section_title title=Closer Look Pack/Ext]Closer Look Pack./Ext.
The box the Vampire Winterfall comes in has a bit of an eery background theme going on to play on the name of the case. In the foreground is a nice image of the front of the Vampire Winterfall in all its glory.
On to the back of the box and there are quite a few images of the special features the Vampire Winterall has to offer, we can see the dust filter, HDD trays, fan controller and a couple images showing the whole inside of the case, offering measurements so users will know if their graphics card will be compatible.
Inside the case is a small box containing some accessories to help make users lives a bit easier when they build their rig inside the Vampire Winterfall. To get you started off RAIDMAX have included some normal zip ties and some velcro cable ties, screws to install all your hardware and even some clips that users will be able to stick to the case and use to help route cables inside.
The front of the case has a unique look to it, the top is home to 5 x 5.25″ bays while the bottom has a couple of vents to help with airflow from the 200mm intake fan.
The 200mm intake fan also features some nice blue LEDs to help light things up a bit.
Removing the front panel will allow to remove the blanking plates on the 5.25″ drive bays and get access to the screws holding the intake fan in place on the off chance they want to remove it.
At the very front of the top of the case is where users will find the standard front IO most cases come with these days, the Vampire Winterfall features power and reset buttons, 2 x USB2.0, 2 x USB3.0 and the front audio inputs (mic/headphones). The nice thing about the front IO is all the ports come with covers to keep the dust out, they also tie in with the design of the case very well.
The top of the Vampire Winterfall is chalked full with goodies, to the right of the front IO is a fan controller that will give users the power to slow down or speed up their fans as need be.
Directly on the opposite side from the fan controller and to the left of the front IO is a 2.5″ hot swap bay that will allow users to quickly connect any 2.5 HDD or SSD for easy access without having to open the case up.
The rear of the top features a nice designed removable panel with some mesh to allow for better airflow.
Removing the top will allow users to install a number of fans or even radiators in the top of the case, such as 2x 120.2 x 140mm or even a 200mm fan. For radiators, users will be able to install anything from 120mm to 280mm in the top of the Vampire Winterfall.
The bottom of the case has 4 feet to help raise the case off the ground to allow for better airflow and as well all know with better airflow comes more dust! RAIDMAX have included a removable dust filter on the outside of the case where the PSU will be. Also, you will notice another vented area that will give users the option to install another fan inside the case, this vented area also has a dust filter which we will see when we take a look inside.
The side of the Vampire winterfall has a nice big window that will allow for users to show off all their hardware inside the case, it also has a vented area where users will be able to install 2 x 120mm fans if they so desire.
Onto the back of the case and starting out on the top we can see 4 x holes for water cooling tubing which shows RAIDMAX intent for making this case very capable of housing a nice water cooled system. Working our way down there is the cutout for the motherboard rear IO, vented area with pre-installed 140mm fan, cut out for a bottom mounted PSU and as mentioned 10 PCI expansion bays.
