GELID was founded in 2008 and is a Hong Kong based company with Swiss management. “GELID designs and manufactures packaging, thermal solutions, CPU coolers, fans, and other computer hardware for both gamers and silent enthusiasts and for international OEM and ODM customers.” The word Gelid is actually derived from the Latin Gelidus which means extremely cold/icy which is just want you want your PC cooling components to offer. GELID has a great range of products as mentioned above that even includes Cat. 7 cable which is not yet commonly used.
Today, however, I will be taking a look at a product designed for cooling or rather, to help give users more control over the cooling and airflow inside their PC. The SPEEDTOUCH 6 is a touch screen fan controller that will allow users to control up to 6 fans and also read temperatures from 6 different locations inside their PC case, normally near the fans when possible. The SPEEDTOUCH 6 will allow users to not only monitor their fans but will also allow them to control the fans turning their RPM up or down depending on the user’s current needs. The controller is designed to simply slot into a 5.25″ drive bay and allow users to access it from the front of their case.
