[section_title title=Closer Look]Closer Look
Taking a closer look at the packaging first, even the boxes help to ensure Noctua’s products are of the highest standards. The front of the box is grey to match the Redux line of fans and other than a small image of the Noctua Owl in the upper right, the only other thing on the box is our model number.
On to the back of the boxes where we have a bit more information. Here we can again see our model number along with dimensions, connector type, rotation speed, airflow, acoustical noise, static pressure, input power, voltage and the MTBF of 150,000 hours!
The only accessories in the box come in the way of 4 silver screws so users will be able to attach the fans to their cases.
Working down the list from big to small we will start of with our 140mm variants. Noctua were nice enough to send both us a NF-P14S(square) and an NF-P14R(round)
All of the Redux line of fans have uniquely designed fins so lets take a look.
Moving on to look at the full fans in all their glory, you will of course notice the NF-P14S has a square frame and while the NF-P14R has a round frame the screw holes are actually in a square to make sure users can connect the fans to their case.
Taking a look at the 120mm variant, the NF-S12B and we can again see another unique blade design which is quite a bit different to the 140mm versions.
The 120mm version in all its glory.
The 92mm version has yet another different blade design. While the 92mm blades resemble those of the 140mm, I assure you they are a bit different.
The full view.
Lastly we will take a look at the 80mm version and yes you guessed it, another unique blade design.
Once again, a view of the whole fan.
It is quite apparent Noctua have taken a bit of time and effort to design these fans how they feel best, giving each size variant a differently shaped blade. The one let down is the fact there is no 120mm fan designed with static pressure in mind. This is a major let down if you ask me as when you buy fans for your case you want them all to match, not having a static pressure 120mm means a lot of people with all-in-one liquid coolers, or ever custom water cooling loops will need to look else where to get radiator fans.
