[section_title title=”Packaging”]Packaging

Not one for reading off of boxes, packaging is ideally designed to grab the consumers eyes; normally eye-popping packaging can contain dirt, but ASUS have never been anywhere near that category.  The GTX 960 Strix packaging is subtle, dark and very informative in its own right; many thumbnails to list the features such as 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM, 0dB fan (semi-passive) and Super Alloy Power, this sounds great right?

The most notable part of the packaging is of course the ASUS Owl which derives from Greek mythology; one which shape shifted, fed on human flesh and drank blood, hardly the nicest creature.  From experience with “Strix” cards though, it will be interesting to see if this card can gobble up the competition.

On the rear, we have much of the same but there is plenty more information available regarding the different features of the card; the most notable one being XSplit Gamecaster being incorporated into the latest version of GPU Tweak, a huge win for streamers!

Bundled with the ASUS GTX 960 Strix, there isn’t too much to feast your eyes on but everything you would expect is included; a manual, VGA – DVI adapter, driver installation/GPU Tweak installation CD and a nice shiny Strix sticker!  Due to the card only having 1 x 6pin PCI-E power connector, no power cables were needed as additional extras.
